Toughest game of the day

Toughest game of the day coming up with the third round just started. Second round played out until the very end with some real nail-biting situations and crazy blood bowl going on.

Leader after round 2 is still MartinS who managed to beat Zeke73's Ogres on the top table 3-0 although taking 4 casualties. Up-and-come:r of the round is Come who takes seat at the top table for round 3 with his merciless Undead.

Inforthepain's Chaos who performed well in the first round bit the dust against Bim's Amazon in the second round, possibly making Khorne (or maybe Nurgle considering the looks of his warriors..) very unhappy. Kudos to  Inforthepain for bringing Chaos and spreading the field a bit!

For round 3 both Melisqus and Skoberget is hounding the top table trying to make the spot.

Second round under way

With about 50 minutes left of the second round spirits are mostly high. Leader after the first round is MartinS Necromantic who managed a win in the first with a wooping 4 touchdowns and 5 CAS.

Other notable results was that the house team (Bishops Extra Arms, Underworld Stunty played by Gimpen) managed to get a draw against Per's Slann, and that the Wood Elf team played by Mufflo knocked the air out of Ashnaks Halflings with 4 Cas!

And we have kick-off!!!

The whistle is blown and the tourney is underway!

30 eager coaches with gritting teeth are playing their first game and tension is in the air.

Keep posted for further reports. :)

Signup closed!

Oktoberbowl has filled all 30 spots and has the makings of a fantastic event coming up.

Thanks to everybody who has shown interest, and if you didn't get a spot this year there might be a follow-up next year. If you are keen to play a tournament sooner than that, Oktoberbowl staff warmly recommends Sweden's largest event StockBowl Cup which will take place in Stockholm the weekend of the 22-23 of November (http://cup.stockbowl.se/).

The first ever Oktoberbowl!

In the dark recesses of Södermalm, Stockholm, on a chilly autumns morning; the day we've all been waiting for is finally here. It's time to let loose the frenzy that is Oktoberbowl!

Oktoberbowl is a NAF-sanctioned Blood Bowl tournament set in central Stockholm, played in one of the cities most popular pubs for beer geeks (and apparently any type of geek!). We will play five games of our favorite pass-time to conclude the first ever Oktoberbowl champion. There will be food and drink, laughs and... blood, and tears!

The pub is open during the tournament which means you can always drench your tears in beer, should the games go awry.. or just celebrate your victories! or just... whatever, there's beer, and drinks, and food. Yummy... Since we're playing in a pub with a great chef, we'll include both lunch and dinner on Saturday in the entry fee (what?! Yes, food included).

In addition, for the luckiest coach (who's soul belongs to Nuffle), there will of course be fine prices of the highest quality, and not to forget, the cheering of the masses!

So if you think you're ready to take on Oktoberbowl, read on and game on!
